Emily joins STERN Law after nearly 18 years of criminal defense practice, with 11 years exclusively representing clients facing the death penalty throughout Georgia. A graduate of Emory University and Georgia State University College of Law, she brings depth of experience representing people facing the full spectrum of charges – from misdemeanors to serious, complex felonies. She believes in providing comprehensive, up-to-date legal guidance and assertive, principled defense centered around her client’s individual needs and goals. She is guided by the personal philosophies that no person is defined by a misstep they may have made and that everyone deserves to have their story told by a committed advocate. She is strongly convinced that we do best in the United States when we welcome people from as many different backgrounds, cultures, and traditions as possible.
Emily is barred in the State of Georgia, including the Georgia Court of Appeals and the Georgia Supreme Court, the Northern District of Georgia, and the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals.
